With the ruins of
the Buddha statues as the backdrop, the story follows the struggles of Baktay, a six-year old girl as she tries to get to school. Having
finally found the money to buy a precious notebook, and taking her mother's
lipstick for a pencil, she sets out. On her way, she is harassed by boys
playing war games that mimic the terrible violence they have witnessed. Will Baktay be able to escape these violent games and reach the
school?
